This iconic yellow and red building is part of Nova Scotia's history. Charles MacDonald, entrepreneur and artist, built five concrete cottages at Huntington Point to keep his employees maintained during the depression of the 1930s. Only 4 remain, and this cottage is the oldest of the remaining four. Charles MacDonald's art has been showcased across Nova Scotia, and a museum dedicated to his art can be found in Centerville, where he built his concrete home and many animal sculptures in the grounds. This cottage features his original artwork over the original fireplace, and has been the subject of visitors photos for many years
