Summary: We gave our kids a short holiday for a gift so we could all be together away from work responsibilities for a couple of days. We had a wonderful time being together in the house. It’s a beautiful Home with so much room and options for everyone. We loved the pool table,ping pong table and theatre room. But there were several things that weren’t great. Not enough towels in the bathrooms. One bathroom was very dirty. Stove has issues fridge was half full of owners food. Microwave doesn’t work dishwasher didn’t clean. Fan was very noisy. House was very hot and ac unit was not cleaned or maintained. The outdoor kitchen is non functional The hot tub was dirty. The whole outside seating area was dirty. The upper deck had all the deck coating pealing off. The grass was very sloppily half- mowed. There was a lot of junk piled around the garage area and covered in several tarps. Bricks at the entry gates are falling over. One evening when we were playing games the most awful -powerful stink wafted in the windows and literally had us all gagging. It was a very strong sewage smell. After looking around outside for some kind of evidence I called the host Darcy. He explained the it was the neighbors septic venting !! It was awful. ! It happened again the next afternoon briefly and not as strong. It’s very sad to see the house not being maintained. Because the property and the home are stunning but not well very looked after sadly
