Summary: We usually love staying in the Kentucky state resorts that we’ve been to so far, but this one is unfortunately in need of some major improvements. I was a little surprised to see how outdated everything was when we walked into the lobby but we still hoped for the best. We first went to checkout the game room which was also extremely outdated and half of the games were marked out of order. We then go to our room which does appear to have been remodeled in comparison to the rest of the resort but we were a little disappointed in the lack of light, stiff mattresses, and the view of the parking lot instead of the lake. The worst part of the experience was finding a used blood glucose strip in one of our “clean” bath towels… definitely an unsettling feeling. There was also a pile of dead lady bugs behind the table in our room so it doesn’t seem like things were cleaned thoroughly. The only thing we did enjoy was the pool, it was nice and warm so possibly heated and had a good view of the lake. I hope they see some new improvements soon but we unfortunately will not be back to this one.
