Welcome to Waterside Getaway. This is a cheerfully decorated cottage/chalet on the east shores of Lac Achigan. Just steps from the cottage is our private dock which reaches out onto the crystal-clear waters of the lake. Here you can enjoy the view, bask in the sun, or go fishing. There are year-round activities available for your enjoyment. From the fresh snows of winter, to the vibrant greens of springtime, from the lush forested hills of summer to the vibrant colours of the Gatineau Hills in the fall time, there is always something to delight your senses.
The cottage faces west and has a panoramic view of Lac Achigan and the scenic Gatineau Hills beyond. Sunsets fill the cottage with warm late-day light and the anticipation of pleasures which the evening brings. The cottage has plenty of windows so you can enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. You will also enjoy the wrap-around deck which faces beautiful Lac Achigan. There are plenty of trees on the site and the hills around are fully forested.
In the cottage things are set up to relax your mind, body and soul. The mood and vibe allows you to be intimate, if you wish, or socialize and tell stories with a group over a meal. Here you can do both. There are lots of tasteful details all over the cottage for you to discover! It is a very personalized place with both practical and whimsical details.
Our 4-season cottage feels and looks like a cottage should. The space it provides is comfortably intimate. There is a comfortable seating area in the kitchen as well as a full dining room setup a with an expansive view of Lac Achigan.
You can enjoy your breakfast outdoors on the wrap-around deck, just footsteps from the lake’s edge, before dipping into the lake for a refreshing early morning swim. Come back later to relax or suntan on the dock. Once you arrive, you will not want to leave!
You can also enjoy an afternoon fishing off the dock and you’re welcome to kayak or canoe on the lake. The cottage is close to local golf courses, horseback riding, Camp Fortune and the La Fleche caves and aerial park.
