Our seaside sunset cottage is one of a kind! Small, charming and perched right on the edge of a pristine beach overlooking the Straight of Georgia. We have an abundance of eagles, a family of otters, seals and sea lions, fish jumping and crabs crawling all RIGHT IN FRONT of this charming beach hideaway. This cottage has provided epic memories for families dating back to the 1950's and we have recently completed an exterior and interior renovation! It is ready to host nature lovers, ocean enthusiasts that can enjoy a comfortable peaceful sleep!
In the bedroom 2 can sleep soundly in a superior quality queen bed and snuggle up in the sumptuously soft sheets! Awake to birds chirping, and the fresh scent of sea air. You can choose to dine out at one of the many great restaurants in the area, have catering or you can fire up the Bar-B-Q and make use of the small, but well equipped kitchen that has a convection/microwave oven, hotplate, refrigerator, cutlery, pots/pans, cooking utensils, etc. View the spectacular ocean from the large living room window and from the kitchen.
As well, we have recently added a new TV and fireplace to the living room.
This beach cottage is nestled on the far north east corner of an Iconic Lantzville property that was homesteaded in 1892. It is accessed through a small, quaint seaside RV Park with its own beach side parking area. Set among arbutus, maple, cedar and fir trees it has a fenced private side and rear yard where you can pitch a tent for the kids or safely stow your water toys of choice. There is room for Kayaks, Paddle-boards, windsurfers, kite-boards or a small dingy- you can even anchor right out front! Once you are settled in, you are 700' from the nearest road and will have one of the best views and beach access found anywhere in the region!
Although you will likely feel "away from it all" while staying here, you are actually conveniently located within a 2 minute drive to our lovely Lantzville Village, where you will find fabulous restaurants, a pub, beer/wine store, Sunday Summer Market, doctors, dentist, trails, parks, and much more. Also within 5 mins of the cottage, there are awesome walking, hiking and mountain biking trails as well as a golf course!
Only a 5 minute drive away, and you will find the many other amenities the city of Nanaimo has to offer: restaurants, shopping (boutiques, Woodgrove mall, Costco, Home Depot, many other chain stores/restaurants), movie theatres, banks, etc.
Within a 20 minute drive you can find: Live theatre, Art Galleries, antiques/collectables, artisans, markets, swimming pool, fitness facilities, Arena, horseback riding, rivers, creeks, lakes and more amazing parks and trails to explore!!
