Haven of peace in Chertsey with a private access to the Lac à l'Orignal (in front of the cottage) located in Lanaudière at only 1h15 from Montreal. You will be able to relax, enjoy the large lot while listening to the soft sound of the Ouareau river, and relax in front of the fireplace inside or outside.
Close to the ski slopes with the Montcalm station (20 min), snowmobile trails right next to the cottage. Hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the Ouareau forest. In summer, two adult kayaks are available for exclusive use on Lac à l'Orignal, with life jackets for all ages.
The lodging

A pleasant living room with its hanging chair overlooking the cathedral ceiling of more than 10 meters high, and its armchairs to read by the fire. Rediscover all the classic movies with a collection of VHS and DVD and an old fashioned television.
Our 2 bedroom cottage can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children or 5 adults. There are two queen beds (one in each room) and a single bed in the upstairs bedroom. For your baby, we have a folding playpen with a real mattress, a high chair, a changing table and a bath seat.
The cottage is secluded, on a large plot of land surrounded by trees, with no privacy for a peaceful stay. But it remains close to amenities with a restaurant/convenience store less than 200 meters away and many activities in the area.
Unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi access for telecommuting and each room is equipped with a desk.
Surroundings:
Convenience store and small restaurant 200 meters from the cottage (2 min walk). In the village of Chertsey (15min drive), you will find a grocery store with SAQ agency, a bakery, a gas station, restaurants, a pharmacy, a butcher shop and a Caisse Desjardins. Several hiking trails within a 15min walk in the Ouareau Forest Park.
Public beach on Lac des Cerfs, ATV and snowmobile trails right next to the cottage. Hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the Ouareau forest, proximity of downhill trails at the Montcalm ski resort (20 min).
For families, Boute en train day camp next door, proximity to Atlantide park (20 min), Abraska (20 min), Sainte-Calixte zoo (30 min), or the agrotouristic farm La Terre des Bisons (30min).
Also 20 min from La Source Bain Nordique spa, less than 30 min from the ice trail on Rawdon lake for skating, 30 min from Estérel (resort, cross country skiing and snowshoeing).
