Enjoy everything the OKANAGAN RESORT LIFESTYLE has to offer in this spacious and modern 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom private cottage at La Casa Resort. Enjoy the fantastic lake views from our cottage, along with all the comforts of home, plus ALL the incredible amenities that the resort offers.
The main floor has one bedroom with a queen bed and an attached bathroom with a bathtub/shower. Up the stairs is another bedroom with a queen bed that also has a cute little area with a twin bed that has a skylight to gaze at the stars at night. Kids will love this! There is another private bedroom upstairs with a king bed as well as a full bathroom with a large glass enclosed shower. Guests have full access to a washer and dryer on this floor as well.
Kids young and old will love the new Pac-Man arcade game as well as some of the toys for enjoying all the resort amenities, including mini golf putters and tennis equipment.
The main floor has a nice open layout that includes the kitchen, dining and living room. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped with utensils, knives, cutting boards, steak knives, dishes, glasses, wine glasses, corkscrew/bottle opener, plastic patio dishes/glasses, pots, pans, cooking sheets, pizza sheet, roasting pan, bakeware, serving trays, kids dishes and cups, that are all there for your use. In addition, there is a Hamilton Beach Flexbrew coffee machine for refillable pods, a drip coffee maker, a coffee grinder to suit your preferred style, and a kettle for tea drinkers. We also have stocked the kitchen with a blender for making tasty fruit smoothies or perhaps an adult beverage of your choice! There is seating for 5 at the kitchen eating nook for those who prefer to sit inside instead of outside on the patio.
We have a young family of our own and have tried to make our cottage as family friendly as possible, so there are kids plates etc. in the kitchen, a high chair, pack and play (with some linens), and family board games.
The living room has a gas fireplace for those cooler evenings, with a large Smart TV, and Wi-Fi is included for access to your devices. Sit back and relax with lake views and floor to ceiling windows to enjoy it from.
The front deck has great sun in the morning, with stunning lake views. As mentioned, there is a large BBQ for all your grilling enjoyment, along with a large table with seating for 6 guests when dining Al fresco. There is also a six-person sitting area providing a nice ambiance in the evening along with a swinging egg chair to enjoy good company and conversations while enjoying some amazing Okanagan wine.
On clear nights, the stars put on a breathtaking show viewable from the deck. Perfect conditions for stargazing enthusiasts and sky buffs alike, as the Northern Lights have even been known to make an appearance every so often.
This lakefront gated resort with 24/7 on site security offers amazing amenities –2 outdoor heated pools (including one a short 4 minutes walk from our cottage), 3- hot tubs, beach volleyball, tennis and pickleball courts, mini-golf, barbeque picnic areas, fenced children’s playground and of course the many activities at the lake, aqua park, and marina.
There is a brand new La Casa Market with a liquor store and a La Casa Kitchen Eatery where you can buy all of your essential items however it is highly recommended that you bring ALL of your food/drink items, spices, clothing, beach/pool wear, toiletries, medicine, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, etc… Once you are at the resort, you really do not want to leave. **SAVE ON FOODS DELIVERS TO THE RESORT.**
The lake is clean and clear and in the summer months it is quite nice and refreshing. A breeze floats by often and sailboats and water sports boats regularly travel by. Perhaps you’ll even spot the Ogopogo! If you have a boat-be sure to bring it along as the resort does have its own marina where you can moor your boat for a daily fee.
There are beautiful hiking trails across the La Casa development and gorgeous view point spots with places to eat and take in the views. The cottage/resort sits adjacent to Fintry Park. This park is over 360 hectares in size and is a nature lovers paradise. Hiking trails and ATV trails connect into Fintry Park set right behind and beside the development.
Fintry Park’s official entrance is a 5-10 min drive from La Casa and offers an array of hiking ranges for many ability levels, beautiful waterfall hikes, amazing ATV trails and, in the winter, some of the Okanagan’s best snowshoeing and ice fishing.
The resort offers year-round enjoyment. In the summer, Fintry park has a boat launch, canoeing, wind surfing and scuba diving at the barge at Fintry park. The boat launch at the resort is narrower and a little steep. Fintry Park’s launch is a large boat launch for ease of use. While the pools close around Canadian Thanksgiving ((the pools and hot tubs are open May-October, with one hot tub open on long weekends in the winter months), Fintry Park offers amazing ATV trails, hikes and snow shoeing trails. There is OHV access right from the resort so you don't have to trailer or truck your bike, quad, or SxS to the Bear Creek OHV trail network which has hundreds of KM of trails that run around Terrance Mountain. At the top of Terrace Mountain there is an amazing 360° view of the Okanagan. There are also two ski hills within an hour to 90 min drive from the cottage for winter time fun. The furthest from us is Big White, which is a huge resort with many runs (about 90 minutes). Next closest is Silver Star in Vernon, another large mountain with amazing champagne Okanagan powder in the winter to explore. Both are family friendly mountains with ski schools and full services.
If you are wanting to explore the Okanagan, why not tour some of the world class wineries? The Okanagan is wine country. There are some of the best wines in the world made here in this region and the cottage is surrounded by vineyards from a 20 to 30 min drive away to suit your preferences. Some of these include Frind Winery, Mission Hill, Quails Gate, Cedar Creek, Sand Hill, Volcanic Hills, Indigenous World, Mt. Boucherie, to name a few. There are also plenty of local fruit stands with local, delicious treats. You can also enjoy the nightlife in Kelowna, with restaurants, clubs, and bars for enjoyment.
