Welcome to the beautiful ‘Oceanside’ in the heart of the village of Port Hood. The Oceanside is a local landmark, with a significant history dating back to 1882. Recently renovated and new to the rental market, the house is the perfect spot for families and small groups.
On the main floor, the Oceanside has a large eat-in kitchen with dishwasher, full-size fridge, stove, microwave, and a table that can generously seat up to ten. Off the kitchen is a cozy den with Roku TV. Also located on the main floor is a lovely, formal yet comfortable living room and a large master bedroom with a desk area, closet and ensuite bathroom with full size tub and shower.
Up the grand staircase to the second floor you will find four sizeable bedrooms and a recently renovated, spacious bathroom with walk-in shower. The majority of the house has 10 foot ceilings, feeling spacious and bright and can very comfortably sleep up to twelve people.
The front of the house has a wonderfully large, wraparound deck where you can sit for hours with a view of the ocean, beautiful Port Hood Island and watch the sunset’s dazzling displays. The generous front lawn gently slopes to the road and is a great spot to let children burn off any extra energy they may still have after a day at the beach. Off the back of the house there is a small patio with a quiet place to bbq. The driveway has space for multiple vehicles.
The house is less than a five-minute walk to the ‘main’ lifeguarded beach across the road, and very close to many other beaches in the area. It is also a short walk to the grocery store, local fish market and restaurants. For those who enjoy golfing, the Oceanside is just 30 minutes from Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs.
The owner resides locally and usually greets guests upon check-in to familiarize them with the house and ensure they are settled.
