Our home away from home is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath townhouse condo at Kicking Horse Mountain, Golden. You are only steps away from ski out and ski in, in a community nestled into this amazing ski resort, with valley and ski hill views. Our home features a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with a tub, regularly serviced hot tub on the deck and two cozy bedrooms. Bedroom one has a queen sized bed while the second bedroom features a bunk bed (single over full). Please note that the max. weight limit for the top bunk is 175 lbs).
There is covered parking in the garage (for one vehicle) and a ski/board rack to lock up your skis and/or snowboards in the garage.
In summer, you are close to a lot of mountain biking trails of varying difficulty levels (including the downhill trails at Kicking Horse mountain resort) and hiking trails, rivers, Cedar lakes and about a 13km drive down to the town of Golden.
We have a bbq on the deck (all year round), along with a table and seating for meals and lounge furniture on the deck (in summer).
Winter boasts world-class downhill skiing and easy access to slack-country touring. The Dawn Nordic centre is a 5 min drive away, where you can enjoy well-maintained cross-country skiing trails as well as snowshoeing trails.
We welcome families and couples. No animals, please and sorry (due to allergies).
Since we are a 'weekend warrior' family, we leave some of our private belonging such as clothing (in the second bedroom primarily), and some food in cupboards and the fridge+freezer. We make sure the closet and drawers are empty in the queen bedroom and that there is plenty of space in the kitchen cupboards, fridge and freezer for our guests. However, if you are considering booking and this is a problem, please let us know!
