The Bluenose House offers an overwhelming panoramic view to the south of the sparkling sea and the offshore islands. Several generations, couples, water sports enthusiasts will enjoy the tranquility and the view of the protective islands. Occasionally, friendly lobster fishermen greet with an Irish, French accent and tell of their immigrant, sometimes German ancestors. Supermarkets and hospital can be reached in a few minutes. We like to go to the nearby wonderfully protected bays with our fishing boat and show our guests the magic of the forests and coasts from the sea, see eagles, seals, hummingbirds, often also whales, and enjoy the fish we have caught ourselves.
The light is more intense here than anywhere else in the world, the colors are more brilliant, you have to let Nova Scotia work its magic on you. The coasts are deeply cut with countless bays and fjords. The island of Cape Breton in the northeast with the Bras d`Or Lake (twice the size of Lake Constance) offers crystal-clear water and excellent fishing opportunities. People love their traditions. Scottish bagpipe or Irish fiddle music is played on every occasion. There are Scottish highland festivals and tap courses.
