Starfish Cottage is a small recently updated house that's full of character. With 2 bedrooms it comfortably sleeps 4 but can sleep up to 6 people (one bedroom also includes a large sofa-bed capable of sleeping 2) making it the perfect vacation home for families, couples or small groups of friends.
A 300 square foot main deck is ideal for kicking off your shoes and relaxing. Whilst the fully enclosed yard is currently a 'work in progress', it's still perfect for pets and children to run around and play in until they're exhausted! A heat pump helps keep the house cool during the summer months whilst a gas fire and baseboard heaters keep it cozy during winter.
Parksville is a great base from which to explore and enjoy the whole Island. When you get back after a day out hiking, sightseeing or simply enjoying the beach just chill out on the deck and make use of the barbeque or the fully equipped kitchen. Can't be bothered to cook? Then wander into Parksville and take advantage of the local eateries.
Your general shopping needs are well catered for at the Wembley Mall which is only a 2 minute drive away and has a Save-on-Foods, Canadian Tire and BC liquor alongside other stores. There's also a small convenience store at the end of the road.
We don't have cable TV at Starfish Cottage but we do have a dedicated Netflix account for our guests. If you have your own media device then feel free to bring it along and plug it into the 55" television.
There is a separate laundry room attached to the house and the driveway is large enough should you want to bring your boat with you.
A keypad entry system means you don't have to rely on anybody to meet you on arrival but as we live just 15 minutes away we are on hand if needed.
