Your welcome wine awaits you (or organic sparkling juice) at award winning Oceanside Village Resort, located near Rathtrevor Beach in beautiful Parksville, BC on Vancouver Island. Parksville is where I choose to live myself now and where I always brought my children to holiday when they were young. The pace is leisurely and scenery is stunning. The Resort is close to airports, ferry terminals, shopping, skiing, golfing, fishing, hiking, glorious beaches and beautiful rivers. The cottage itself is just steps from the resort swimming pool and small fitness centre, as well as other resort amenities and a lovely little lunch bistro. A short walk or drive will bring you to Rathtrevor Beach and Park – a beautiful and favorite spot for all ages. A mini golf facility borders the property – also fun for all! At Parksville Community Beach there is an amazing playground and splash park for children. Steps away from the cottage is the famous Tigh-na-mara spa.
Other interesting places and events in the area include Englishman River Falls, Coombs Market with Goats on the Roof, Errington Farmers' Market, Craig Street Tuesday Night Market, Qualicum Beach Saturday Market, Top Bridge Walking Trail, MacMillan Steam Train and Mill, Horne Lake caves, Cathedral Grove. Northwest Wildlife Centre, Milner Gardens. A cross island jaunt will bring you to the open side of the ocean at Tofino with its storm watching and surfing . There are too many fun things to list!
My contemporary cottage is a spacious and well laid out 2 bedroom with one full bath (separate soaker tub and shower). All appliances are full size and include dishwasher and new washer/dryer for your convenience during your stay. The cottage is nicely decorated and very comfortably furnished including custom livingroom furniture and high end mattresses. . A natural gas fireplace is a plus for cool evenings. All kitchenware and linens are supplied. The cottage is outfitted with so many lovely things and the full kitchen is set up for people who love to cook. Outside amenities include a natural gas barbecue and outside hose to get the sand off before you relax on the sunny deck.
Minimum stay is 2 nights with weekly rates available. Off season rates are in effect from mid September .
Rental agreement is required. Many guests consider this their island home and return every year to enjoy our mild climate. I hope you will love Parksville and Shore Winds as much as I do!
