There's something for everyone in this lovely Muskoka cottage rental on Dickie Lake - a smaller lake located close to the village of Baysville in the east Muskoka region.
The cottage faces the waterfront and has three bedrooms all on the main floor, with a sunken living area. The master has a two-piece ensuite bathroom.
The great room is flooded with light and gorgeous lakefront views from the living and dining area, while the modern kitchen has everything you'll need for the chef in the family.
The lower level will please those who want to hunker down with a movie and a bowl of popcorn, with a wide-screen TV and comfortable seating. Or spend a fun evening at the large harvest table choosing from a variety of board games.
Outside you'll find a large lawn for ball games and a firepit right by the water. While there is no beach, there is a shallow entry to the water with hard sand underfoot, and the water deepens gradually. The on-the-water deck/dock is great for chilling out on a sunny afternoon, taking in the view and watching the kids play in the water.
Nearby Baysville is a cute waterside village with a great bakery/deli as well as the Lake of Bays Brewery where you can sit on the patio and partake in one of their great brews.
Take a day trip to Bracebridge or Huntsvillle for the larger Muskoka shopping and dining experience. For hikers or canoeists, it's only 40 minutes into Algonquin Park, or try out the trails at Limberlost or Arrowhead. You won't run out of things to do whether you stay close to the cottage or venture further afield.

Golfing. Bigwin Island Golf Club is just 15 minutes from the cottage. In the surrounding area, Grandview Golf Club, Huntsville Downs Golf Course, Deerhurst Lakeside Golf Course, North Granite Ridge Golf Course, South Muskoka Curling & Golf Club, Muskoka Highland Golf Links, Taboo Muskoka Golf Course, The Fairways at Kirrie Glen are all within 35 mins. of the cottage.
Dad's of Muskoka Disk Golf. Short, wooded and tight with multiple elevation changes and course features (boardwalks, stairs, bridges, raised tees) through rustic forest. (20 mins)
