Welcome to our vacation home, ideally located on Big Boulder Lake in the Pocono Mountains' Blue Heron community. Our warm and cozy townhouse is within Big Boulder Ski Resort, it is less than a mile away from the lifts and a two minute leisurely walk to the private Big Boulder Lake Club!
The space:
It sleeps 6, has free wifi, 2 full bathrooms, 3 spacious bedrooms, outside deck, grill, all kitchen appliances, and jacuzzi.
Note: We listed this property in 2020, however we've been renting other places since 2013.
— THE LOCATION —
Roughly 1.5 hours from Philadelphia & from NYC, our home is conveniently located on Big Boulder Lake in the Pocono Mountains just minutes from major attractions, including Big Boulder/Jack Frost Ski Resorts, Mount Airy Casino, H2O Indoor Water Park, Camelback Ski & Water Park, Pocono Raceway, Penn’s Peak Entertainment Venue, Crossings Premium Outlets, Jim Thorpe, Split Rock Resort (bowling, arcade, theater), whitewater rafting, paintball, state game lands, and more.
The townhouse is located in the Blue Heron community, which is just a 2-minute drive to the ski lifts, and a 2-minute walk to the exclusive Boulder Lake Club!
Our guests will have full access to all the Boulder Lake Club has to offer in the summer: clean, sandy beach, heated pool, tennis courts, ping pong, bocci ball, ladder ball, horseshoes, cornhole, badminton, volleyball and tennis. The beach passes are included in the cost you pay for the rental -- note that this is NOT the case with all the units listed in Blue Heron -- so you save time and money by not having to purchase the passes yourself.
You can rent kayaks, standup paddle boards, fishing boats, paddle boats, sailboats, and even pontoon boats! There is even a kid camp and private tennis and swim lessons available.The views from the lake are breathtaking, the atmosphere is relaxing, all you need to do is rest, play and have a great time!
Boulder View Tavern is also located at the Lake Club, and is open all year round. Great food, indoor and outdoor dining and bar, live music, views of the beach -- yet another reason to stay back, relax, and enjoy life. And if it’s raining or you are simply in the mood for something different, Lake Harmony restaurants are minutes away by foot or by car (including Piggy’s ice cream, which is delicious!).
You cannot beat our location. And, you are in for a picturesque, comfortable experience in our rental.
— THE TOWNHOUSE —
It sleeps 8, has free wifi, 2 full bathrooms, 3 spacious bedrooms, outside deck, grill, all kitchen appliances, and jacuzzi.
— THE ENTRYWAY AND THE ENTERTAINMENT AREA —
Upon entering the house, you will pass the entryway where you can comfortably leave your shoes and jackets, and enter the living room, where you can seat back and relax watching movies on the home theater system or just gazing at the fireplace (wood is provided).
The renovated kitchen is fully stocked with dishware, drinkware, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, coffee maker, tea kettle, and even a cotton candy machine. Just bring the ingredients and be the chef all the while your guests are sipping wine at the bar that seats 4. The dining area seats 8 more at a vintage wooden table.
There is also a concealed washer and dryer just off the kitchen (with laundry detergent available).
The kitchen, dining and living areas are combined, so everyone in the entire space can comfortably enjoy each other’s company, the TV, and the fireplace. There is a vaulted ceiling with skylight, for plenty of sunshine and natural light. This is a warm, welcoming space where you will feel happy and carefree.
— BEDROOM & BATHROOM 1 —
The first bedroom is conveniently located on the first floor and has a queen bed. It has a spacious closet to store your wardrobe, and a private access to a full downstairs bathroom that features a full bathtub with a shower and a double sink for a refreshing bathroom experience.
— BEDROOM & BATHROOM 2 —
The master bedroom features high vaulted ceilings and is the largest of the 3 bedrooms and is located on the second floor. While relaxing in a king size bed, guests will love gazing at the trees outside through extra large windows. The room has access to another neat bathroom with a renovated jacuzzi bathtub and a shower cabin with a soothing rain shower head.
— BEDROOM 3 —
This bedroom has two cozy single beds, a folding bed and a crip. If you are traveling with a child of any age -- they will love this room -- where they will also find cardboard games to enjoy together. Guests can also access the small balcony, which has wonderful views of greenery.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
After booking, you will be asked for a copy of your ID and emailed a PayPal request for a $500 security deposit, which is FULLY REFUNDABLE 2 to 3 weeks after departure, and upon passing inspection.
There is a $200 cleaning fee, it includes sheets.
The home is equipped with FREE WiFi (password required), washer/dryer, and electric baseboard heat.
The primary renter must be at least 30 years old and the total number of guests must not exceed 8.
No pets, smoking or loud partying is allowed on the premises.
