Our unforgettable 4-bedroom, 3 bathroom geodesic "Dome Home" is lovingly nestled on Grass Lake in Kearney Ontario, between Huntsville, Burk's Falls and Algonquin Park in the Parry Sound-Muskoka region of the Almaguin Highlands. It is about 2 hours and 40 minutes from Toronto. Its location is a nature-lover's haven and the perfect place to build lakeside memories with loved ones that will last a lifetime.
The space
Our Dome Home offers so much to enjoy on beautiful Grass Lake that you can forget about work and truly disconnect. You'll be emersed in nature, enjoying breathtaking views, sunrises and sunsets and enjoying bonfires by our propane lakeside fire pit to your heart's content. But we get that sometimes it's also nice to have reliable connectivity, and we aren't judging, so you may also enjoy high speed internet throughout the property from the driveway to the dock.
Once you're at the dock, feel free to swim in deep lake water, explore the lake in our peddle boat (for four) or one of two kayaks, or sun basque on our reclining dock loungers or Muskoka Chairs.
Have a boat or sea-doo? Feel free to park them at our large dock during your stay. There is a public boat launch down the street (you can't miss it) which connects to Grass Lake.
Our Dome Home also offers plenty of non-aquatic activities too, including badminton, volleyball, board games, colouring for the kids, and a smart TV with surround sound.
Our Dome Home includes 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, central heating and air conditioning, a tankless water heater for endless hot showers, full water filtration system and much more! All linens, bath towels and shower supplies are included (although guests must supply their own beach towels for dips in the lake.)
Bedroom 1 includes one queen bed and an ensuite half bathroom (main floor).
Bedroom 2 includes a bunk bed - double mattresses (main floor).
Bedroom 3 includes one queen bed (2nd level).
Bedroom 4 includes two double beds (2nd level).
Our den (2nd level) includes a crib for for toddlers and babies alike, and our stairs are equipped with child-protective gates thoughtfully included with their safety in mind.
Our full kitchen includes 1 full fridge, 1 full freezer, 2 dishwashers and large dining table with 10 seats. Our wrap-around balcony includes a large propane BBQ and a canopy swing.
Our main-floor full bathroom includes a shower, toilet and large sink.
Our ensuite contains a sink and toilet.
Our second floor bathroom includes a double vanity sink, a tub and two-piece shower, and toilet.
The Dome also offers a full-size washer and dryer in case you need them!
And last but certainly not least, the dome comes equipped with a back-up generator in case mother nature is feeling a bit frisky. We've got you covered!
Guest access
Guests may check in at 4:00pm and must check out by 10:00am.
Guests are welcome to enjoy all aspects of the dome, but mustnot access :
-the supply closet (our cleaners will ensure that everything you need
is accessible to you);
- the utility drawer under the stairs;
- the utility drawer in the second-floor bathroom;
- the exterior storage area located under the cottage;
- the storage area under the deck, and;
- the water pump shed at the lake (green shed).
Other things to note
Our Dome Home is a lakefront property surrounded by nature, forestry and we do treat the exterior to deter mosquitos and ticks. You can expect animal sightings such as squirrels, chipmunks and many varieties of birds.
For your security, four outdoor security cameras are located as follows:
1. Overlooking driveway & badminton area (located on tree)
2. Overlooking outdoor fireplace/generator/main entrance to cottage (located on tree)
3. Overlooking propane BBQ/cottage deck, storage room under cottage and stairs down to lake (located on tree).
4. Overlooking propane firepit, water toy shed, and dock area (located on tree).
